Project CEOS partnering with the Women's Place to offer Lab Management series
We are proud to welcome this year's participants to a lunchtime brown bag workshop series “Skills for Managing Your Research Team and Laboratory” for women faculty—tenured and tenure-track, clinical and research. The Women’s Place sponsored a similar workshop series in 2005 which was very well received.
The workshops will be held over the autumn and winter quarters on Fridays from 11:30 to 1:45 in room 400 of Stillman Hall. The dates and topics for the winter quarter are:
January 13, Building Teams
January 27, Project Management
February 3, Commercialization
February 17, Budgets and Grant Writing
The primary reference material for this series will be the book "Making the Right Moves: A Practical Guide to Scientific Management for Postdocs and New Faculty"
